How secure is it?
Our national forum, as well as Riders USA have been infiltrated in the past. How can we prevent that?

Security
I'm not sure how secure it is, we'll have to do a little digging around and test it.
Steele would be the one to talk to about that. He can break into anything!

Security
Remember, nothing is totally secure on the web. Big Brother can look, see and listen to anything he wants to. Never feel secure online, on the phone or around David Hepler (had to through that one in there.)
My first suggestions are this, membership to this forum should require an approval from the Administrator and at least 1 moderator. Or a group vote if that's what the members choice is. The way it is set-up right now all you need to do is confirm your email address and your in. That is not security.
And with my experience with forums, to avoid conflict and dictatorship, the forum should have a minimum of 3 moderators, and of course the administrator.
Something else needs to be decided, what are the guidelines to membership on this forum. Is this forum for RAIA Members only??? Or do we vote on membership to this forum???
Majority rules. Lets not make any harsh decisions until we get the entire RAIA Core Group on board. I would suggest no one but the Core Group be admitted until we as a group can vote on the requirements.

Re: How secure is it?
I think we should be extremely picky as to whom we let on this site.....no more "smash's"....ok and Carrie's, please!!!!
I can't handle any more talking to dead people.
If some of the members from USA or Riders that we can trust want on and Jim Williams, Pipedoc, etc. People we really know. Remember that there will be other RAIA chapters that will want on also.....something to think about.

Re: How secure is it?
I say that if your not a patched member then you don't get in.
Security is security.
Be secure or don't be secure.....no in between.

Re: How secure is it?
Good point, I think Jim Williams and Pipe Doc are 2 great examples of 2 good Men who have yet to commit to wearing a patch, but would have our backs in a heartbeat.
No Patch No Forum
There is no doubt that both Pipedoc and JW are stand up guys that have our back BUT they are not RAIA members.
RAIA security is RAIA security. Period.

Security
I understand what you're saying, but I think in the case of these two guys we have to make an exception.
That's just me though.

3 can keep a secret if 2 are dead.
Then what is the point of having a secure forum?
For that matter....what then makes us different for wearing the patch that others don't?
I know you guys hate it when I make valid ponts that are uncomfortable.

It's good to think
We have to be very serious about security. Bottom line, if you don't wear a patch your not a member. If your not a member then there has to be a consequence of not being one.

I submitted RAIA-SouthWest.com to 89 search engines today and the bots crawled the forum because there's a link to it on the website.
Should I kill the link?
